Members learn how to influence the passage or defeat of critical legislative bills.<br /><strong>Parish Outreach: </strong>Meet the needs of fellow parishioners during crisis situations. Services include visitation and funeral receptions.<br /><strong>Respect Life Committee:</strong> Dedicated to heightening awareness for the rights of the unborn, disabled, elderly and the environment.<br /><strong>Gabriel Project: </strong>A grass-roots, faith-based non-profit organization which meets the practical, emotional and spiritual needs of women and families facing crisis pregnancies in the spirit of Christian solidarity.<br /><strong>Special Projects:</strong> Coordinates a holiday food basket program and other food and clothing drives.<br /><strong>Alternative Christmas:</strong> Provides an opportunity to buy gifts that will honor the true spirit of Christmas as well as greatly assist those in need by making a donation to a designated charity.<br /><strong>Parish Health Ministry: </strong>Health care professionals from our parish are available the first weekend of each month to screen blood pressure, coordinate semi-annual blood drives and bring awareness of health issues to our parish.<br /><br />COMMUNITY SERVICES INCLUDE:<br /><strong>Germantown HELP:</strong> Volunteers deliver emergency food and provide assistance with prescriptions and diapers to local residents on an as needed basis.<br /><strong>Meals on Wheels:</strong> Volunteers serve the homebound by bringing them prepared meals Monday through Friday.<br /><strong>Lord's Table Soup Kitchen:</strong> Our volunteers prepare and serve a meal to the needy in our community on the fourth Thursday of each month.<br /><strong>Rebuilding Together (formerly Christmas in April):</strong> A nationwide program that offers the opportunity for our parish to come together on the last Saturday of April to rehabilitate the home of low-income,disabled or elderly homeowners.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4536674422147166751-5348444486646176505?l=mspsocialconcerns.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Spiritual, Educational, Outreach and Advocacyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08265971825555150035noreply@blogger.com
