Parish Ministries and Community Services

PARISH MINISTRIES INCLUDE:
Direct Assistance: Provides information and referral services as well as administration of funds in emergency situations to those in the Germantown community.
Financial Counseling: Free confidential counseling to those who want advice on managing their money and reducing their debt.
Legislative Network: Sponsored by the Archdiocese-advocates a legislative agenda of human life and dignity primarily on the state level. Members learn how to influence the passage or defeat of critical legislative bills.
Parish Outreach: Meet the needs of fellow parishioners during crisis situations. Services include visitation and funeral receptions.
Respect Life Committee: Dedicated to heightening awareness for the rights of the unborn, disabled, elderly and the environment.
Gabriel Project: A grass-roots, faith-based non-profit organization which meets the practical, emotional and spiritual needs of women and families facing crisis pregnancies in the spirit of Christian solidarity.
Special Projects: Coordinates a holiday food basket program and other food and clothing drives.
Alternative Christmas: Provides an opportunity to buy gifts that will honor the true spirit of Christmas as well as greatly assist those in need by making a donation to a designated charity.
Parish Health Ministry: Health care professionals from our parish are available the first weekend of each month to screen blood pressure, coordinate semi-annual blood drives and bring awareness of health issues to our parish.

COMMUNITY SERVICES INCLUDE:
Germantown HELP: Volunteers deliver emergency food and provide assistance with prescriptions and diapers to local residents on an as needed basis.
Meals on Wheels: Volunteers serve the homebound by bringing them prepared meals Monday through Friday.
Lord's Table Soup Kitchen: Our volunteers prepare and serve a meal to the needy in our community on the fourth Thursday of each month.
Rebuilding Together (formerly Christmas in April): A nationwide program that offers the opportunity for our parish to come together on the last Saturday of April to rehabilitate the home of low-income,disabled or elderly homeowners.
